Valentine’s Day isn’t far off; what plans do you have with your significant other? Sure, there’s the standard dinner at a local restaurant followed by a romantic movie on Netflix. However, why not make the date extra special this year? What better way to celebrate with your special someone than by taking an RV trip to one of the many romantic getaways in the U.S.?This beautiful country has no shortage of destinations perfect for two people looking to get away.

1. Tucson, Arizona

For adventurous couples, consider Tucson for your Valentine’s Day getaway. In particular, the city’s Saguaro National Park is a nature lover’s paradise. Walk hand-in-hand with your partner as you stroll through one of the park’s many trails or even ride on horseback. Afterwards, you can chow down at one of the city’s many local restaurants. At night, kick back at our local RV resort, the KOA campground near Lazydays in Tucson.

2. Napa Valley, California

As California’s wine capital, Napa Valley is naturally a romantic getaway with its vast stretches of lush vineyards and wine distilleries, many of which are open for tours year-round. You and your significant other will be treated to the view of a magnificent landscape, which you can enjoy while sipping the local wine in the sun.

3. Couer D’Alene, Idaho

Idaho is often known for its potato farms and little else. However, if you dig a little further, you’ll find it has quite a few romantic spots. One such place is Coeur d’Alene, a place Barbara Walters once called “a little slice of heaven”. From walking around the lake, to zip-lining through the forest, this is a destination made for two.

4. Black Hills, South Dakota

The Black Hills of South Dakota is one of the most romantic vacation spots if your idea of romance includes rustic cabins nestled near a wildlife sanctuary. A stay at one of these forest lodges will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to the American frontier. Cozy up to a loved one next to a roaring fire.

5. Allegheny National Forest, Pennsylvania

This state park boasts trout-filled streams, old-growth forests, and tranquil camping grounds. You may also opt instead for a number of cozy log cabins nestled deeper in the forest. These cabins have changed little since they were erected in the early 1900s—a perfect place for history buffs.

6. Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Eureka Springs is nestled right in the Ozarks, so beautiful views are a certainty. Check out the Thorncrown Chapel, Beaver Lake, or Quigley’s Castle for some unique daytime excursions.

7. Albuquerque, New Mexico

Visit Albuquerque’s Old Town to get a glimpse of the town’s romantic side. You’ll find plenty for couples to do, like traverse the 16-mile Paseo del Bosque Trail that affords hikers and bicyclists a view of the Rio Grande River. For the sightseer, there are plenty of historical galleries and museums, not to mention the San Felipe de Neri Church.

8. Tampa, Florida

Due to its year-round mild temperatures, Tampa provides plenty of outdoor activities. Known as the “World’s Longest Sidewalk”, Bayshore Boulevard is a 4.5-mile stretch of waterfront sidewalk full of local shops and eateries. If you plan on staying for a few nights, then Lazydays in Tampa has its own premier RV resort.

9. Seattle, Washington

Often thought to be continuously drenched in rain, Seattle at first glance may not seem like the most romantic place to visit. However for spectacular views, head to South Lake Union where you can traverse the body of water by sailboat or canoe. Of course, there is also the famous Space Needle. Take the escalator to the very top, and you will have a bird’s eye view of the scenery below.

10. Las Vegas, Nevada

How can Las Vegas not be on the list? After all, it’s the place of shotgun weddings and glamourous Hollywood shows, and late nights. If slot machines or the poker table aren’t your forte, then check out the wealth of entertainment venues, restaurants, and cocktail bars.
