With summer just around the corner, perhaps you’ve started digging your RV out of the mothballs and planning your family summer vacation camping trips. Well, your decision just got a little bit easier. Consider a trip to the Tampa Bay area in Florida.

On May 1, 2015, the Tampa Bay area was named number two in the country on the 10 Best Kid-Friendly Destination list by the 10Best readers of USA Today. According to the newspaper’s article, Tampa Bay finished second behind Niagara Falls, NY, by a handful of votes. The newspaper says it asked its USA Today 10Best readers to chose a favorite place for family vacations and, after a four-week voting period, the paper revealed the results. USA Today says its readers cite Tampa Bay’s blend of big city amenities, resorts and beaches as reasons that make it a strong magnet for family vacationers.

Here is the USA Today poll top-10 places ranking:

  1. Niagara Falls, N.Y.
  2. Tampa
  3. Myrtle Beach, S.C.
  4. Anaheim, Ca.
  5. Wisconsin Dells, Wi.
  6. Orlando
  7. San Diego
  8. San Antonio
  9. Virginia’s Historic Triangle
  10. Yosemite National Park, Ca.

Lazydays’ RV Resort expert Kimberly Rolon was very excited to hear that the resort is in the middle of two cities on that honor roll. Orlando, which finished sixth, is only an hour away. The location is central to Orlando and its parks, as well as Tampa and the beaches in Clearwater and St. Pete.

“The sun is shining. They get to go to our brand new playground,” Rolon says. “ There is a great screened pool that blocks mosquitoes. It’s perfect for families to take vacations, because it’s that perfect mix of relaxation for adults and fun and activities for the kids.”

So if you are looking for a great RV resort in one of the best places to vacation, consider the Lazydays Resort, the world’s largest RV dealership with over 1,400 RVs on display. Located just miles away from some of the area’s biggest attractions, the resort offers numerous top-quality amenities. Most of all, it is extremely pet friendly.

“In a hotel you don’t have the same lifestyle fun,” Rolon says. “Here, you are out in nature. You have the sun on your face. You’re hearing the birds and it’s a more relaxing environment.”

The resort property also has full-service maintenance available at the dealership nearby, if you need to schedule a repair. And, while your family visits the resort, there are hundreds of new and pre-owned RV models to tempt you.
