Tailgating season is here and one of the best things about it is the food! But what are some of the best things you can serve at your next tailgating party? We’ve gathered the best of the best — use as many as you’d like at your next party. We’re sure your guests won’t mind!

1. Burgers

Burgers are the old go-to standby, present at nearly any tailgating event. Simple to make, endlessly customizable, easy to handle, what’s not to love? Experiment with different seasonings, buns, cheeses, and even meats to find something totally unique.

2. Wings

Wings may be stereotypical sports-fare, but there’s a reason for that: they’re simply delicious. Nothing beats a plate of wings smothered in your favorite sauce. From mild to spicy, wings are as much a part of tailgating as anything.

3. Hot Dogs

Or corn dogs. Or pigs in blankets. There’s really no wrong answer here. Anything reminiscent of a hot dog is great company at a tailgating party.

4. Dips

Dips (and of course their companion chips) are an obvious favorite. Salsa, beans, queso, guacamole, pimento cheese… all are worthy sides for some game watching.

5. Chili

Nothing beats a warm cup of chili on a cold game day. If the weather forecast is overcast or rainy, but you don’t plan to cancel, put chili on the menu. Your guests will thank you.

6. Jalapeno Poppers

Whether wrapped in bacon and grilled or covered in batter and deep fried with some cheese, jalapeno poppers give your party some kick.

7. Baked Potatoes

A frugal yet filling choice, the humble baked potato is warm and hardy. Just like a burger, it can be customized to each guest’s taste.

8. Grilled Corn

A great side or appetizer, grilled corn is easy to make and serve.

9. Kebabs

Kebabs offer your guests a variety of flavors in one easy to serve package. Layer meats and vegetables along a skewer, throw them on the grill, and get ready to serve some delicious kebabs to your guests.

10. Ribs/Steak

If you really want to impress, bring out the ribs and steaks. Try making your own BBQ or steak sauce ahead of time to really make an impression.
