A round of applause erupted inside the Front Porch restaurant of the Lazydays RV Tampa Resort honoring the 55,000th Driver Confidence Course student.

Patricia Howell and her husband, Richard, of Brandon, Florida, stood surprised as Patricia was introduced to an audience of Lazydays resort guests and employees as the company’s milestone student.

Patricia says she signed up for the course to help her husband with the driving of their 2014 Class A Fleetwood Storm.

“We learned a lot of things today,” Patricia says. “Especially when you get a flat tire… I would have never known to speed up instead of put a brake on.”

According to Bob Bergeron, Lazydays’ Senior RV Driver Instructor in Tampa, the course begins with a 2-hour classroom training followed by a hands-on-the-wheel instructional session that provides an opportunity for new and seasoned owners to sharpen their skills on the RV driving course.

“Unlike any other dealership that just gives you a set of keys and sends you on your way, we educate people,” says Bergeron. “They know more when they get out of here than somebody else of the street. They enjoy their lifestyles better, because they know how everything works.”

“That’s the difference between Lazydays and everybody else,” Bergeron says.

As for the Driver Confidence Course teaching fifty five thousand drivers, “that says we are the RV authority for sure,” says Bergeron.
