De-winterization $159 special

DE-WINTERIZING AN RV

After the cold winter months, your RV needs a little TLC before it’s ready to hit the road again.

Whether you stored your RV or traveled to winter destinations, it should have been winterized before the freezing temperatures set in. Now that spring is just around the corner, it’s time to de-winterize your RV to get it ready for a new year of adventures.

WHAT IS DE-WINTERIZATION?

De-winterization is the process of undoing the preventative work done during winterization. Flushing plumbing and appliances of antifreeze is the most important step, but there are other checks that should be performed.

How do you de-winterize an RV?

There are several steps to de-winterizing an RV:

  • Drain and flush all RV plumbing and tanks
  • Flush appliances like dishwashers and refrigerators
  • Reconnect bypassed water heaters
  • Check for water damage

Removing antifreeze can be a long process if you don’t have the right tools at your disposal. If not done correctly, the antifreeze will remain in your fresh water system. While RV antifreeze is non-toxic, it will leave an unpleasant taste and odor in the water you drink and wash with.

Inspection of your RV includes:

  • Smoke Alarms
  • Lp Detectors
  • Roof Inspection
  • Body Sealant Inspection
  • Engine Fluid Levels
  • Tire Inspection (Wear, Pressure, Age, Condition)
  • Exterior Lights
  • Slide Seals
  • Windshield Wipers
