Now that summer is in full swing, and you have finally prepped your towable RV or motorhome for travel, a visit to the Tampa Bay area may fit perfectly into your family’s plans for a summer vacation camping trip. Well, the decision to come to Tampa Bay may have gotten a little more convincing.

In May, USA Today’s 10Best readers club named the Tampa Bay area second in country in the 2015 Best Kid-Friendly Destination poll. The newspaper stated that Tampa Bay finished second behind Niagara Falls, N.Y. by a handful of votes. The 10Best readers were to pick a favorite family vacation place. After four weeks of voting, Tampa Bay emerged with a second-place finish. USA Today said its readers appreciate Tampa Bay’s blend of large city amenities, resorts and beaches that make it extremely attractive for families.

Kimberly Rolon, who is the Lazydays’ Tampa RV Resort expert, was extremely excited to hear that the resort is in the middle of two major metropolitan areas on that honor roll. Orlando also finished sixth in the poll and is only an hour away from the resort. The resort, which is located in Seffner, Fla., is located about an hour from Orlando and its parks and just outside of Tampa and the beaches in Clearwater and St. Petersburg.

“Our Lazydays Tampa resort is perfect for families to take vacations,” Rolon said. “We have the perfect combination of relaxation for adults and fun kid-related activities. We have a great screened pool, a brand new playground and the sun is shining.”

So, if you still haven’t finalized your plans and want a great RV resort in a great vacation spot, consider the Lazydays Resort, located next to Lazydays RV, the world’s largest RV dealership, which has roughly 1,200 RVs on site. The Lazydays Tampa resort is located just miles away from some of the area’s biggest attractions and offers many high-end amenities. And, it is extremely pet friendly.

“Hotels are great,” Rolon says. “But, you don’t have the same fun lifestyle. Being out in nature with the sun on your face, while listening to birds chirping, will definitely help you appreciate our relaxing environment.”

To make your stay more convenient, there is also full-service maintenance available at the dealership nearby should you need to schedule a repair. While visiting the resort, take a walk over to the dealership to see the hundreds of new and pre-owned RV models that will certainly tempt you.

Here is how the cities finished in the poll. Niagara Falls, Tampa, Myrtle Beach, Anaheim, Wisconsin Dells, Orlando, San Diego, Virginia’s Historic Triangle and Yosemite National Park, Ca.
