Celebrating the holiday season can be greatly enhanced by enjoying traveling in your RV or luxury motorhome. However, like most families when they are camping, do not like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. None the less, the RV kitchen is a bit more compact than your home. Here are some simple, but great ideas that will help your holiday meal reach perfection while living on the road.

Plan Ahead

When planning meals on the road, the biggest difference you will see is that at home you have more cooking space than in the RV. To work with the limited space, one option will be to prepare the side dishes, desserts and appetizers before the main course. All you have to do is reheat them or simply serve them when you have your party.

Be Creative in Making Use of More Space

When it’s time to lay out the spread of food you have prepared, one of the biggest challenges is the lack of counter space. So, now it’s time to get creative. Try using makeshift tables, such as ironing boards or card tables to serve your dishes. Find some festive table covers to hide any blemishes or imperfections these temporary tables may have.

Try using Pre-Made Dishes

Purchasing some pre-made dishes may seem extremely difficult for those who consider themselves great cooks. However, if you want to eliminate some stress from preparing everything and save kitchen space, consider using some dishes like dips, desserts, rolls, salads and other sides. They can easily be found in market delis or groceries. And, most of the dishes even taste homemade.

Get Outside

If your destination takes you to warm destinations like those near the Lazydays Tampa and Tucson resorts, it may be ideal to have your festive meal outside. Outdoor chairs and picnic tables help prevent overcrowding inside your motorhome.

Discover the RV of Your Dreams

With all the challenges of hosting a holiday meal, you may discover the need for a larger motorhome to accommodate everyone and all the fixings. Please visit our Lazydays Tampa or Tucson locations to find an affordable option this holiday season. Also, please log online to see our complete inventory and to schedule an appointment with a sales consultant who will be able to help you through the selection and purchasing process.
