Late September to Mid-October

Along the stunning North Shore Scenic Drive, you’ll find Little Marais, Minnesota. While the maple trees tend to change in late September, the poplar and birch trees in the area bring a second season of leaf peeping, which tends to run through the third week of October. Because it’s only a four-hour drive from Lazydays RV Minneapolis, you can easily choose from our Minnesota RV rental fleet and experience the beauty from the comfort of an RV.

Fall Foliage in Black Hills, South Dakota

Early-Mid October

South Dakota might not be the first place you think about when you consider fall foliage, but if you visit the Black Hills in early to mid-October, leaf peepers will find fewer tourists, more mild weather and exquisite fall colors. Plus, you can still take advantage of fun outdoor recreation activities like fishing, ATVing, hiking, canoeing, wildlife viewing and more.

Fall Foliage in Pueblo, Colorado

Early-Mid October

Located along the banks of the Arkansas River, Pueblo, Colorado is a great place to see some last-minute fall colors in Colorado. Visit Lake Pueblo State Park for more outdoorsy activities or stay in the city for a great selection of delicious food, beer from one of their three craft breweries, fun shops and plenty of educational museums. The best part? It’s only a two-hour drive to Lazydays RV Denver, where you can rent travel trailers, and Class A and Class C motorhomes.

Fall Foliage in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Early-Mid October

Not only does Albuquerque have some of New Mexico’s most alluring fall colors, but it’s also home to the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta from October 6-14. While there’s plenty to do all year long, the fall colors and balloon festivals in October make it one of the best times to visit Albuquerque.

Mid-Late October

If you haven’t experienced the beautiful fall foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains, you’ll want to stop what you’re doing and head to Helen, Georgia. Not only can you see majestic waterfalls surrounded by bold fall colors, but Helen is also a re-creation of a Bavarian Alpine village, full of cobblestone streets, specialty shops, and traditional German fare. October is the perfect time to visit, because in addition to the fall colors which tend to appear in mid-October, Helen also holds Oktoberfest celebrations throughout the month.
